Agreement on Internal Trade

The Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) came into effect July 1, 1995. The Agreement provides a framework under which Canadian governments agree to reduce barriers to trade within Canada. Chapter Five specifically addresses procurement undertaken by the federal, provincial and territorial governments. This menu selection provides a hot link to a WEB site maintained by Industry Canada, who are responsible for its content.
