Cell Phones, Blackberry®

This CSA includes cell phones, BlackBerry® wireless platforms, air cards, related service features, options and equipment.

Government users will acquire cell phones, wireless platforms, and/or air cards on an as if and when requested basis by accessing these corporate supply arrangements. All government users must source cell phones, BlackBerry® wireless platforms , air cards and related services through these CSAs and not by any other means. The Province has negotiated excellent pricing, service and support, which will be of benefit to all users.

Broader public sector users wishing to access these CSAs must meet the following requirements.

Users choose from four categories: standard, regional, seasonal, and special.

Based on their usage patterns, users should select the user category that best meets their needs, and contract with the appropriate supplier.

Note: For BlackBerry devices, WTS recommends acquiring them with a minimum of 64 MB of memory when purchasing a device. The Province has introduced new disposal procedures for IT assets, including cell phone and aircards. These devices are to be disposed of as IT assets and must not be sold or returned, evon on warranty, to the supplier. BlacBerry devices however, may be returned to the supplier when propert steps have been taken to eliminate recoverable data.
