Hotel Accommodation for patients requiring out-of-town Medical Services and their accompanying family members.
On occasion patients are required to travel to out of town locations to obtain specialist and outpatient medical services. Patients are often accompanied by one or more family members who provide support and comfort to the patient. Patients and their family members may not have a friend or relative with whom they can stay and must stay at a commercial property.
The listed properties offer accommodation at discounted rates to patients and their families who are required to travel to out of town locations to access non-emergency care.
Eligibility criteria apply on a property by property basis and patients and their families are encouraged to confirm the requirements that may be in place for a specific property. Rooms are made available subject to availability. Properties are paid directly by the patient or family member and billing arrangements are made between the patient or their family and the property, subject to the property’s usual payment terms. Properties may require a letter from physician in order to access these rates.

The Ministry of Health, the provincial health authorities, and Purchasing Services Branch will not recommend a property to a patient or their family, and there is no obligation on the part of a patient or patient’s family to stay at a listed property. Discounted room rates are subject to availability and at the option of a property. Patients and their families should confirm rates prior to booking.
